Kuwait City: Kuwait has announced that there are no restrictions in place banning Kuwaitis and expatriates, who are under domestic quarantine, from travelling abroad.
“The airport authorities have no objection to the travel of any person during the 14-day home quarantine as long as that person has not shown any sign of the new coronavirus,” an official source from the Kuwait International Airport told Al Qabas newspaper.
All arrivals to the country are mandated to present a document showing a negative result of the coronavirus and are required to sign a pledge of spending 14 days in domestic or institutional isolation.
After Kuwaiti authorities suspended flights from dozens of countries, citing concerns with regards to the coronavirus, many domestic workers have been unable to return to the country.
“So far, there is no change in the list of the banned countries,” the source added.
