Muscat: Schools across Oman are set to open on November 1, 2020.
”Within the framework of the Supreme Committee's follow-up of the Ministry of Education's efforts in operating schools for the academic year 2020/2021, it confirms the decision to start the school year for all students on Sunday, 1st November 2020, and the decision to adopt the integrated education curriculum for all schools, with a focus on activating education from a distance,” a statement issued by Oman News Agency (ONA) said.
During a meeting held by the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with Covid-19 and headed by committee chairman and Interior Minister Sayyid Hammoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, the ministry's general office followed up on the developments of the pandemic, measures to prevent the spread and ways to deal with its various effects.
"The Supreme Committee also affirms its continuous follow-up, through the Ministry of Education and other relevant bodies, of the educational process in light of the development of epidemiological indicators in the various governorates of the Sultanate,” the statement added.
