Abu Dhabi: The State Security Department at the Federal Supreme Court adjourned the case of Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood in UAE, for ruling on 6th June.
The defendants are 15 Yemeni nationals and four Emiratis accused of establishing a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in UAE.
The Federal Supreme Court heard the pleadings from defence lawyers, who called for acquittal of their clients and dropping of charges levelled against them, saying that the defendants are innocent.
The defendants have been charged with raising donations and funds without prior authorisation from the competent authority and joining an illegal subversive groups which plots to topple the UAE government.
The court also heard a number of cases related to state security in the presence of a number of media representatives and members of the civil society organisations in UAE.
