Riyadh: Saudi has announced that it will grant SR500,000 to the families of health workers who died from the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The special grant will apply to all health professionals, including those who worked in both public and private sectors, civilian or military and covers all nationalities, Arab News reported.
It applies to those who recorded their infections starting March 2, 2020.
The country's Health Ministry recorded 16 new deaths and 399 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the total number of patients who contracted the disease to 345,631.
The recent deaths put the total number of fatalities in the Kingdom at 5,329.
