Brian Bridgeford narrowly won the opening Monday Night Lights tournament at Royal Golf Club this week on count back with a score of 24 points.
Iftikhar Butt was runner-up with the same score and Dave Fernie came third with 22 points. Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were both won by Steven Hill.
Nearly 40 players took part in the stableford tournament which was played on the back 9 holes of the Club’s challenging Montgomerie championship course. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Sohail Singh, the club’s Tournament Coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes.
The Monday Night Light competitions will take place at the Royal Golf Club every Monday evening. The nine-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night green fee plus a BD2 entry fee which goes into the prize pool.
