Bahrain’s bodybuilding icon Sami Al Haddad was given a special welcome on return from Slovakia where he finished first at the 2016 IFBB Mozolani Pro Classic.
The Bahraini veteran beat a field of eight contestants. It was his second win here following his maiden victory two years ago.
He claimed the top prize of $3,000. He was followed by Ronny Rockel of Germany (second, $2,000) and Iraqi Ahmad Ahmad (third, $1,000).
Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, Public Security Sports Federation president Khalid Al Khayyat and other top sports officials welcomed Al Haddad on arrival at Bahrain International Airport.
Askar conveyed the greetings and congratulations of Representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The BOC general secretary also wished Al Haddad further success at Mr Olympia to be held in September in Nevada, US.
