One of the kingdom’s leading healthcare providers has soft launched its latest medical facility – KIMSHEALTH Hospital in Umm Al Hassam.
With its new operation, it has become the largest provider in the country’s private healthcare sector with two hospitals and four medical centres.
“Over the years, KIMSHEALTH has earned an exemplary reputation for its quality of service, care and affordability,” said group chairman and managing director, Dr M. I. Sahadulla.
“The new hospital will provide communities and existing patients seamless access to all of our new services.”
Ahmed Jawahery, chairman of KIMSHEALTH Medical Centre and president of Royal Bahrain Hospital, described the enterprise as an ‘example of a perfect Indo-Bahraini partnership’ that has grown beyond Bahrain, serving other GCC countries, namely Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.
“KIMSHEALTH Hospital aims to cater to the affordable segment of society and will offer a wide number of services,” he added.
The hospital is located in the residential area of Umm Al Hassam and is just 400 metres away from the existing KIMSHEALTH Medical Centre, on the old Asian School premises.
It is designed to provide inpatient and outpatient services, operating rooms, maternity, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and emergency services.
Some of the hospital’s specialities will include General Practice, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Dermatology & Cosmetology, Cardiology, Dentistry, Physiotherapy and much more.
In addition to new medics and services, existing doctors from its medical centre will be available at the hospital to ensure ‘continuity of care’ for patients, especially those who need to undergo surgery or require inpatient care.
It aims to excel with its inpatient experience with a ‘new and bigger space’ as well as improved parking amenities.
Dr Sheriff M Sahadulla, group CEO, said the objective was to offer a wide variety of services covering the entire spectrum of healthcare delivery to the patient, adding: “Thus, KIMSHEALTH will be providing primary, inpatient, rehabilitation and post-discharge care at home.”
The latest medical complex’s soft opening is only a part of the progressive health provider’s plans. Jacob Thomas, executive director – operations & projects (GCC), revealed: “KIMSHEALTH has been serving Bahrainis and expatriates in the kingdom since 2004. This is our fifth facility after Royal Bahrain Hospital, KIMSHEALTH Medical Centre in Umm Al Hassam, Muharraq and Askar. We are also looking forward to the launch of the new RBH Medical Centre in Saar/Janabiyah.”
