Trade and transportation could resume with Qatar, the United Arab Emirates' minister of state for foreign affairs said on Thursday.
Dr Anwar Gargash said that legal cases that Qatar filed against the UAE would be suspended in light of recently-restored diplomatic relations between the GCC countries.
“With two parties reconciling, it is natural that legal cases will also be dropped,” he said, speaking in a virtual briefing to the media on Thursday.
Saudi Arabia and its allies agreed on Tuesday to restore ties with Qatar at the 41st GCC Summit in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, ending a boycott imposed in 2017.
"Measures to be implemented within a week of the agreement include practical measures of airlines, shipping and trade," the UAE minister, Anwar Gargash, told reporters.
