Talented jockey Hussain Dadallah made his mark winning the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) Showjumping championship grand prize.
The showjumping championship, the fourth this season, was held on the grounds of the Military Sports Association in Al Raffa, Sakhir, under the patronage of Breef chairman Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
Egyptian Embassy Charge d’Affaires Chancellor Ahmed Khafaji and Breef marketing committee chairperson Huda Janahi presented Dadallah with the coveted trophy.
Breef board member and director of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s media office and information centre Tawfiq Al Salhi also took part in the ceremony.
Dadallah rode his horse Champion to victory clocking 45.07 seconds, jumping all 145cm obstacles, without making any mistakes.
He was followed by Mayoof Al Rumaihi (42.40 seconds), who also claimed the third position, clocking (41.80 seconds).
Haitham Al Bastaki finished fourth (41.39 seconds), followed by Basel Al Dosary (42.75 seconds) and BDF athlete Saber Salman Faraj (45.30 seconds).
Veteran rider Ahmed Al Jahrami won the fourth advanced showjumping competition clocking 34.31 seconds, leaving Mayoof Al Rumaihi in the second place with 34.80 seconds and Sayyed Mohammed Khalaf who clocked 38.35 seconds.
In the fifth advance category (Level 3), the winner was BDF rider Faraj who clocked 44.95 seconds, followed by Ahmed Al Jahrami (49.48 seconds) and Fahd Jamal (50.27 seconds).
Veteran athlete Sami Ghazwan jumped to victory in the joker event which included 135cm obstacles. He collected 44 points after recording 36.19 seconds. Haitham Al Bastaki came second and Mohammed Jassim was third.
