Muscat: Oman's Health Ministry has announced that it has begun administering the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to target segments who have received the first dose of the Pfizer-bionNTech vaccine.
No side-effects were reported among recipients of the first dose, health minister Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Sa’eedi said.
He added that the level of coverage in Muscat governorate stood at 100 per cent, while the rest of governorates in the Sultanate showed very high rates of coverage.
As many as 24,773 targeted individuals were vaccinated during the first phase of the campaign such as those suffering from chronic diseases, the elderly and frontline operators.
