Kuwait City: Interior Minister Shaikh Thamer Al-Ali has announced an extension on the period of time that individuals can get their residency status amended from February 1 to March 2.
The decision makes it easier for those with expired statuses to renew/amend their status at a time when the country is battling the spread of the coronavirus disease, which has disrupted air traffic, suspension and reduction of businesses in many sectors and the closure of the Public Authority for Manpower for two weeks.
Those who fail to amend their status will be subject to penalties, will not be allowed to enter the country and stand the risk of being deported.
