Muscat: Oman's Social Development Ministry has urged societies and community clubs in the country to hold all meetings virtually, as part of efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
"Based on the instructions issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with Covid-19 regarding the suspension of holding events and local activities of a public nature and meetings, the ministry calls on associations and community clubs to abide by holding electronic society meetings electronically via visual communication only, with the importance of commitment to fulfilling all the conditions and legal texts necessary to hold the meeting," a statement issued online said.
