Bahrain Paralympic Committee president Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa has confirmed the hosting of the 2021 Asian Youth Para Games which will be held from November 28 to December 7.
Speaking at the official launch of the event’s logo, Shaikh Mohammed thanked His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for supporting the disabled.
Shaikh Mohammed praised the vision of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in motivating the committee to host an international event. He also praised SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for supporting the Para Games and ensuring that appropriate care is given to the athletes.
The committee said that the logo was designed to show the achievement of sustainable development regarding equality between two genders and spreading health awareness among the disabled psychologically and physically.
Shaikh Mohammed added that Bahrain is prepared to host the international sporting event which will highlight various achievements of the disabled.
