A woman in Ras Al Khaimah has been ordered by the civil court to pay her husband Dh8,100 as compensation for snooping on his phone and sharing private conversations with their daughter.
The shared conversations were those he had had with his first wife and the disclosure led to a marital dicord between the duo, which resulted in their divorce, Khaleej Times reported.
The woman was earlier sentenced by the RAK Misdemeanours Court to one month in jail for violating her husband's privacy, secretly accessing emails on his phone and sharing the private conversations.
