The UAE has announced that Armenia, Austria, Israel, Italy, Maldives and the USA will be removed from its green list starting August 18.
This means that passengers coming from these countries will now have to quarantine upon arrival, Khaleej Times reported
The green list countries are Albania, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, New Zealand, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Ukraine.
Meanwhile, four countries – Bahrain, Greece, Serbia and Seychelles – have been listed as travel corridors.
While passengers travelling through these four countries are not required to quarantine if they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, passengers flying in from countries not on the green list will be required to wear a wristband and quarantine for seven days even if they have been fully vaccinated.
Those who have not been vaccinated will have to quarantine for 10 days.
The UAE has announced that it will accept vaccinations taken outside the country starting August 20.
