Muscat: Oman's Health Ministry has announced that over 1,000 citizens have been employed in medical and paramedical specialities, as well as administrative jobs in the country since the start of the year.
The citizens were employed from the period starting January 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021, it was revealed.
"Within the framework of the Ministry of Health’s keenness to recruit qualified national cadres, the ministry employed 1,036 citizens until September 30, 2021. Appointments included medical and paramedical specialities, as well as administrative jobs. 176 people were appointed from the category of administrative and technical jobs (engineering and computer), 117 as doctors, and 133 for medical assistant jobs," the ministry said in a statement.
The appointments were a part of the ministry’s responsibility towards Omanisation in a number of sectors, which reached 100 per cent in various specialisations.
