Malkiya rose to the top of the table after sealing their third win in as many matches in the Bahrain Second Division Football League yesterday.
Goals from Sayed Ali Isa, Joseph Emmanuel and Salman Mohammed helped Malkiya claim a 3-1 third-round victory over Sitra.
After Malkiya opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Ahmed Abdulaziz Yaqout equalised for Sitra as the first half ended 1-1. Malkiya scored twice in the second half, in the 82nd and fourth minute of additional time, as they raised their tally to nine points.
Malkiya held off Isa Town 2-1 in the opening round and went on to beat Al Ettihad 2-0 before extending their winning streak to three last night.
Sitra, who have managed just two draws so far, are seventh with two points.
In another match last night, Demba scored a hat-trick as Al Shabab sealed their first victory of the season in splendid fashion routing Al Tadhamun 7-0.
Hassan Maden, Mahmoud Mohammed, Sayed Haider Abbas and Sayed Ahmed Jaffer were the other scorers for Al Shabab.
Last night’s victory took Al Shabab to the fourth position with five points while Al Tadhamun languish at the bottom with three losses.
Bahrain Club, meanwhile, climbed to the third spot after a 3-1 victory over Galali.
Abdulla Mubarak Khamis, Preto and Kudu scored for the winners in the first half while Abdulraman Saeed reduced the margin for Galali in the 47th minute.
Bahrain Club raised their tally to six points while Galali dropped to the fifth spot with four points after crashing to their first loss of the season.
The fourth-round matches will be played on November 3 and 4.
