  • <p>Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani received Palestinian Ambassador Taha Mohammed Abdul Qader and reviewed Bahrain-Palestine relations and ways to further strengthen co-operation on various levels. </p><p>They discussed the developments of the war in the Gaza Strip, and the regional and international efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire, as well as delivering humanitarian aid to civilians, and providing protection to the Palestinian people.</p>

  • <p>Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi met Bahraini youth who proposed solutions to the challenges of AlMustashar (the adviser) feature in the eShabab app, with the aim of enhancing the quality and efficiency of government services.</p> <p>She emphasised the importance of involving young people in finding effective solutions to a variety of challenges. Bahrain has developed a comprehensive system designed to listen to the ideas and suggestions of the youth and empower them to make contributions in various sectors, she added.</p> <p>The minister said that the launch of the National Youth Work Strategy (2023-2028) demonstrates the commitment to supporting youth and encouraging their contributions.</p>

  • <p>Above, Mr Hanna with the winning students.</p> <p>Students from four schools took part in a lantern-making competition at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain to capture the spirit of Ramadan.</p> <p>The Shine Bright This Ramadan Inter-School Lantern-Making Competition, held in line with a traditional Gergaoun celebration, aimed to showcase the creativity and talent of pupils from across the kingdom. &ldquo;We were amazed by the creativity and craftsmanship displayed by the students in this year&rsquo;s competition,&rdquo; said the hotel&rsquo;s general manager Charbel Hanna. &ldquo;Each lantern was a testament to the talent and dedication of the young participants, and we are proud to have provided a platform for them to showcase their skills,&rdquo; he said.</p> <p>Lanterns are being displayed in the hotel lobby until the end of Ramadan.&nbsp;</p>
