LEVYING tax and fixing the rates of goods and services are the prerogative of any government and legislature.
However, I have a few observations on the points discussed during the debate on the increase in Value Added Tax (VAT) to 10 per cent, in both houses of the National Assembly – Parliament and the Shura Council .
