Bahrain Indian School – Bhavans student Pranav Bobby Sekhar of Grade IX bagged the championship trophy at the Andalus Wiz Kids Fide-rated Rapid Chess tournament.
The event was officiated by Bahrain Federation Fide arbiter Maleeha Al Jamri with the support of Andalus Chess Club officers led by its president Andre Austria.
Other winners from Bahrain Indian School are Atharva Balvalli of Grade IX and Ishaan Jinesh of Grade IX who secured sixth and 10th position in category awards. Suyash Sunil Bayalan and Sujay Sunil Bayalan of Grade V bagged second and eighth position in 11 years and under category.
Directors Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma and principal Saji Jacob congratulated Pranav and other winners and wished good luck and further progress to the emerging chess talents.
