More than 35,000 Omani citizens and their families travelled during the nine-day Eid holidays, statistics revealed.
Popular destinations during the break were the UAE, Turkey, Thailand, Tanzania, the UK and India, Times of Oman reported.
Statistics by Muscat Airport showed that flights operated by the country's national airlines functioned at near full capacity, while the border crossing to neighbouring Dubai and Abu Dhabi was also extremely busy.
