The woman was reportedly a cat breeder who housed 20 giant Maine Coon pedigree cats who survived after partially eating their owner’s body.
An animal rescue expert who looked after some of the surviving cats said their shocking actions were “understandable.”
“The cats were left alone on their own for two weeks, there was no food, so what else to eat?"
According to the Sun, some of the healthier cats have been adopted, but it’s unclear if their new owners are aware of the horrific incident.
