MANAMA: The Department of Emergency Medicine at King Hamad University Hospital has succeeded in reducing waiting time by adopting the Manchester Triage System for risk classification of patients, giving priority to patients according to the severity of the disease. The waiting time was only six minutes.
In a statement to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej, emergency medicine consultant and head of emergency medicine and ambulance department Firas Abu-Ziad said emergency cases that require immediate examination registered 100 per cent commitment rate.
