THE Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) has lined up another fun-filled week of workshops.
During the Plant Pot Mosaic workshop, which will held on Saturday from 10am to 2pm, participants will be taught the technique of working on a 3D object and decorate their own plant pot with colourful mosaic tiles.
The workshop costs BD15 per head.
On Monday, an Appliqué Embroidery workshop will be organised, from 4.30pm to 7pm.
Participants will be taught the technique of appliqué, introduced to its various mediums, taught how to transfer a printed image onto fabric, the different types of fabric, embroidery floss, needles, and how to frame the finished piece.
Both workshops will be held at the Art Centre in Manama and are open to those aged 16 and above.
Registration for the appliqué workshop costs BD20 and participants can register for both events by sending their name and age to 39911675 on WhatsApp.
An interactive theory workshop that focuses on understanding creativity and the balance between reality and expectations takes place over the course of two days next week.
Creativity Anatomy, which costs BD40 per head, will also teach participants how to build an art portfolio.
It is open to those aged 22 and above and will be held at the Art Centre on Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm to 7pm.
Registration is mandatory on the same WhatsApp number.
A Scented Candle Making workshop will be held over the course of the same two days and timings at the Al Jazra Handicrafts Centre.
Participants will learn how to make the most natural candles, using a variety of scents and fragrance oils to develop a personal scent.
