TWO new creative workshops will be held at Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre this week.
A Jewellery Design Workshop will teach participants the techniques and stages involved in the process. Starting with the source of inspiration, which is the base of each successful design, jewellery is created using different shapes and drawings that depend on designers’ creativity, imagination and background.
The workshop, which costs BD30, will he held from September 27 to 29, from 5pm to 8pm.
A Copper Shaping Workshop will take place on September 28 and 29.
Embossing copper is an artistic skill which involves creating designs on the metal by stamping, piercing, folding or hammering on it.
It can be produced independently, merged with other artworks, or used to cover some products such as wooden boxes.
During the workshop, participants will learn about types of copper, their properties, the methods of working on copper as well as its practical applications.
The event costs BD28 and will go on from 4pm to 7pm.
