A FULL day of activities supporting local breast cancer awareness efforts is set to take place on Friday.
Adults and children can show their support for Think Pink: Bahrain Breast Cancer Society by participating in running, cycling and open track activities, and even by watching a motorbike parade.
Hosted at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Batelco’s ‘Fitness on Track’ activity will give participants the opportunity to exercise in the circuit’s grand tracks.
Set to take place from 6am to 10am, participation costs are BD1 for runners and BD2 for cyclists.
Children aged under 12 are allowed to join in for free if accompanied by a paying adult.
Runners and walkers will make use of the BCI’s 2,550m inner track, while cyclists will be able to ride their bikes on the 3,543m outer circuit.
A separate area will also be dedicated to young cyclists.
A motorbike parade will kick off at 10am, where bikers will ride around the BIC’s 5,412m track.
The Think Pink day will culminate with a 4pm open track event which will continue until midnight.
Those who wish to join in can bring their own road cars or motorbikes out to the inner track F1 circuit.
Participation in the open track event can be booked in advance (full night BD99, half night BD71.500, single session BD33).
They can also be booked on the day (full night BD115.500, the half night BD82.500, and the single session price is BD44).
BIC emphasised the importance of driver’s etiquette during the open track activity.
