The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) held the third race of the 2022-2023 season yesterday at its racecourse in Raffa, Sakhir in the presence of Supreme Council for Environment vice president and REHC High Committee deputy chairman Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The eight-round meeting was held for the cups of Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
BOC secretary-general Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji presented the trophy of the BOC Cup to assistant trainer Raed Al Buainain.
Shaikh Ibrahim bin Khalid Al Khalifa presented the trophies of the Bapco cups to assistant trainer Paul Smith, the winner of the second round, jockey Paul Hanagan, the winner of the third round and jockey Hussain Asghar, the winner of the fourth round.
He also presented the trophies of Bapco cups to Shaikh Sultanuddin bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the winner of the fifth round, owner, Ibrahim Rashid, the winner of the sixth round, and assistant trainer, Paul Smith, the winner of the eighth round.
