Attorney Hayam Bogmar has filed the first lawsuit against the Information Affairs Ministry to stop the screening of Barbie movie in Bahrain, stressing that the ministry is responsible for licensing films and series as well as previous and subsequent censorship of everything shown, broadcast or distributed, in cinemas, on television or radio in Bahrain.
In the lawsuit, he stated that cinemas announced the screening of the controversial movie Barbie, all over the world, because it spreads ideas that violate international moral values in general and Islamic values in particular .
