Patek Philippe continues its legacy of horological excellence with the unveiling of four extraordinary watches, seamlessly blending Grand Complications with the art of gem setting.
Gem Setting, an enduring tradition at Patek Philippe since its founding in 1839, has adorned timepieces alongside other rare artistic handcrafts.
The Antique Collection at the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva showcases this commitment, featuring creations like the pendant watch purchased by Queen Victoria in 1851, adorned with rose-cut diamonds.
The latest additions include two Haute Joaillerie versions of the Grandmaster Chime Reference 6300, the brand’s most complex wristwatch. These white gold models feature baguette-cut diamonds and blue sapphires meticulously set on the case, bezels, and fold-over clasp, epitomising the fusion of technical excellence and exquisite gem setting.
The perpetual calendar chronograph Reference 5271 also sees two new jewellery interpretations, one embellished with baguette-cut blue sapphires and the other with baguette-cut rubies. These models not only celebrate mechanical sophistication but also exemplify Patek Philippe’s dedication to uniting precious stones with intricate timekeeping mechanisms.
The Grandmaster Chime Haute Joaillerie models boast a patented reversible case with two dials in elegant ebony-black opaline over solid gold. Powered by the calibre 300 GS AL 36-750 QIS FUS IRM manually wound movement, these watches house an impressive 20 complications.
Similarly, the perpetual calendar chronograph models, Reference 5271/11P-010 and 5271/12P-010, showcase a harmonious blend of horological expertise and gemsetting artistry. The bezels, lugs, and fold-over clasps are adorned with baguette-cut blue sapphires or rubies, complementing the lacquered gradient dials.
Produced in limited quantities due to the complexity of their movements and meticulous gem setting, each piece is a testament to Patek Philippe’s legacy of precision, luxury, and artistic expression.
These watches offer collectors a unique and limited opportunity to own a masterpiece, enriching Patek Philippe’s exceptional collection with unparalleled craftsmanship and beauty.
