In line with His Majesty King Hamad’s reform programme and marking the silver jubilee of his accession, the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, the Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain (UNIDO-ITPO Bahrain), in co-operation with the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ICEI), has launched the Global Entrepreneurs Alliance (GEA).
The GEA aims to be a global platform fostering co-operation among entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and professionals. It will bring together counterparts from around the world to help individuals achieve their full potential and contribute to their national economies. This initiative builds on the ICEI’s successes in over 56 countries.
Concurrently, the Global Call 2025 was launched, inviting participants worldwide to showcase innovation, creativity, and sustainability within the creative industries.
The Global Call 2025 encompasses three main categories: Eco-friendly production, which encourages sustainable production practices, including the use of green materials and eco-friendly design; Digital innovation, which promotes the innovative use of technology in the creative industries, such as digital media, games, and virtual reality; and Cultural heritage, which supports efforts to preserve and promote cultural heritage through creative means, emphasising the orange economy and sustainable tourism initiatives.
The Global Call 2025 encourages diverse and inclusive participation and aims to inspire the next generation of innovators.
