A new innovative mode of transportation in UAE is in the works: Rail Bus, a completely 3D-printed vehicle made from recyclable materials.
The product is still in development, but a model was displayed at the World Government Summit 2025 at Madinat Jumeirah. The solar-powered bus will have two rows of seats and space for disabled passengers. Each carriage will have 22 seats, making it able to accommodate 40 passengers.
The rail bus will be driven autonomously and is designed to go upto 100kmph.
The bus will be available alongside other public transport systems and will run on elevated tracks that will be built around the emirate.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, checked the new bus during a visit to the event, accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Mohammed bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of the UAE.
