HANDBALL – BAHRAIN reached the semi-finals after defeating Egypt 36-32 in their Group A third-round match of the 10th Arab Handball Championship in Kuwait City yesterday.
Bahrain led 20-14 at half-time and continued their dominance in the second half with a strong defensive and offensive performance, topping their group with four points.
Star player Hassan Mirza excelled in the game to win the Man of the Match award for the second time in a row, confirming his decisive role in leading the team to compete for the title.
Bahrain will face Kuwait in tomorrow’s semi-final clash. Egypt takes on Qatar in the other semi-final.
In other third-round matches played yesterday, Saudi Arabia defeated Tunisia 34-30 while Kuwait eased past the UAE 32-24.
