A passenger was caught smuggling 89 capsules of cocaine hidden in his intestines at Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi, on Friday.
The capsules weighed approximately 1,198 grams and are estimated to have a street value of AED 5 million.
The passenger, who arrived from a South American country, was subjected to a scan after the inspection team grew suspicious. The scan revealed signs of foreign objects inside his body.
