Basketball – Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports Committee chairperson Dr Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa attended the ‘Fiba Foundation Clinic’ held as part of the social programme accompanying the Fiba Congress 2025 and the Hall of Fame Ceremony.
The event took place at Khalifa Sports City Arena, with the participation of international basketball legends, led by German star Dirk Nowitzki, NBA icon and Dallas Mavericks’ legend, who engaged directly with participating children and encouraged them throughout the activities.
Participants included talented male and female athletes from the ‘I’m Talented’ programme, alongside children and youth, under the supervision of certified Fiba coaches.
Dr Shaikha Hessa pledged full support for such initiatives, commending their role in empowering youth.
She commended the event’s broad participation, which reflect Bahrain’s commitment to community sports and advancing gender equality across all fields.
