A police officer was killed in Bengaluru when a bus driver lost control of the vehicle while making a turn, crushing the officer and his motorbike before falling into a drain.
CCTV footage from Monday morning shows the bus losing control while turning, colliding with several bikes and dragging one to the edge, where it falls into the drain.
Several people are seen rushing to the scene to help the injured.
According to the report, the bus was heading towards Bengaluru at the time of the incident.
Most passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries, and others were rushed to the hospital, while the Karnataka police officer died on the spot.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the steering cable was cut, which led to the loss of control of the steering wheel. Local police have filed a case of death due to negligence against the bus driver.
