A man, who used fake Saudi banknotes then tried to flush it down the toilet once when he was caught, has received a reduced sentence after he lodged an objection against the verdict in his criminal trial.
In 2019, the Saudi national was sentenced in absentia to five years behind bars, fined BD1,000 and ordered deported after completing his sentence, by the High Criminal Court .
