PARATRIATHLON – Bahrain Victorious 13 athlete Lauren Parker delivered a dominant wire-to-wire victory at the World Triathlon Para Series in Montreal, extending her unbeaten streak in paratriathlon to four races this season.
Racing in warm conditions that ruled out wetsuits, the Australian completed the 750-metre swim in 12 minutes and five seconds, then recorded the fastest bike split of 35:08 over 21.5km. She capped it off with a strong 13:28 over the five-km wheelchair run.
Crossing the line in one hour three minutes and eight seconds, Parker not only posted her fastest time of the year, but also the best of her career over the sprint distance.
The reigning Paralympic champion continues to raise the bar with every performance.
More racing action is on deck in Canada as Bahrain Victorious 13’s Cassandra Beaugrand, Emma Lombardi, and Vasco Vilaca line up at the first supertri League stop in Toronto.
On the roster of the Bahrain Victorious 13-supported Crown Racing team, they are set to commence a commanding defence of the teams’, men’s, and women’s titles.
