fostering national belonging is a shared responsibility rooted in preserving authentic Bahraini traditions, a top government minister has said.
Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa commended the role of Bahraini families and traditional majlises in safeguarding national heritage and cultural values during a meeting with residents of Riffa yesterday.
The residents valued royal directives to preserve national tradition and reaffirmed loyalty to His Majesty King Hamad.
They also commended the Interior Ministry’s security measures that helped restore calm and public order in the area.
The visit by the minister, who is also Ministerial Follow-up Committee for the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism chairman, was part of a commitment to strengthening citizen engagement and promoting a community partnership approach.
Present were the Southern Governor and senior ministry officials.
