Some US-based health clinics are now charging patients extra fees for asking questions.
"Please be advised that additional charges may be applied if issues outside the regular examination are discussed during your annual visit," read a sign inside a Cincinnati health clinic.
The warning left many patients befuddled, including Wittney Darnell.
"I did have some questions I didn't ask because I didn't know what that sign meant," she said.
According to Darnell, her doctor explained that the sign was intended to keep annual checkups at a reasonable time and prevent delays for other patients.
