FUTSAL – BAHRAIN’S men’s futsal national team suffered a narrow 1-2 loss against Lebanon in a friendly match played in the kingdom
Hasan Al Jadahesah fired in for the home team but they came up short in their bid for the win.
The tune-up was the second between the two sides in less than a week. They had earlier faced off at the Bahrain Football Association futsal hall in Riffa, with the Bahrainis taking the first game 1-0. Al Jadahesah was also the team’s goal scorer then.
Both Bahrain and Lebanon are gearing up for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, which are scheduled to be played next month.
Bahrain are in qualification’s Group B, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, along with the host Thais, South Korea, and Brunei Darussalam; while Lebanon are in Group E, to be played in Hangzhou, China, with the host Chinese, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.
There are 31 nations competing in qualifying, divided into seven groups of four and one group of three. The eight group winners and the seven best-ranked runners-up from the qualifiers will join hosts Indonesia at the 18th edition of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, which will be held next year in Jakarta, Indonesia, from January 27 to February 7.
