The Bahrain Recruiters Society has urged authorities to open new recruitment markets following the Philippines’ decision to raise the minimum wage of its domestic workers from $400 to $500 a month, alongside stricter conditions, our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej reported.
The society warned that the 26 per cent increase would heavily impact Bahraini households, calling instead for a moderate rise of 10 to 15pc .
