SAUDI Arabia has launched the country’s first Arabic language conversational AI application called HUMAIN Chat.
“HUMAIN, a public investment fund (PIF) company building end-to-end artificial-intelligence (AI) capabilities, today announced the launch of HUMAIN Chat, a next-generation Arabic conversational AI application powered by ALLaM 34B, HUMAIN’s flagship Arabic large language model (LLM),” Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
The report said that HUMAIN would be launching first in the kingdom, with regional rollout across the Middle East and global expansion to follow.
“The launch of HUMAIN Chat is a point of pride for Saudi Arabia, marking a historic milestone in our mission to build sovereign AI that is both technically advanced and culturally authentic,” SPA quoted HUMAIN chief executive Tareq Amin as saying.
He further called the launch of HUMAIN Chat proof that “globally competitive technologies can be rooted in our own language, infrastructure, and values – built in Saudi Arabia by Saudi talent.”
Saudi Arabia’s PIF is working towards the establishment of new businesses and economic sectors in the kingdom as part of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s Vision 2030.
