SCORES of star-gazers in Bahrain looked to the skies last night to witness a crimson moon that enveloped the kingdom as part of a total lunar eclipse.
Coinciding with the full moon of Rabi Al Awal (first of spring in the Islamic calendar), the event was a rare astronomical phenomenon that was last witnessed more than seven years ago, in July 2018, with the next one expected to be on December 31, 2028 .
