TABLE TENNIS – BAHRAIN’S under-19 men’s table tennis national team struck gold in their age-group yesterday at the Arab National Teams Table Tennis Championships 2025, currently being played in Casablanca, Morocco.
The nationals consisted of aspiring talents Mohammed Nader Al A’ali, Majed Naji, and Yousef Hassan Aman. They secured their crown after defeating the host Moroccans 3-1.
The Bahrainis will receive their gold medals during the awards ceremony on the concluding day of the championships on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s under-11 boys’ national team qualified for the final in their division. The youngsters are composed of Ali Hussain Al Hashmi, Faisal Yousef Al Banna, and Qasem Hussain. They claimed their spot after defeating Syria 3-1. The final will be played today.
Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa is in Morocco for the competition. She congratulated both teams along with Bahrain’s other competitors on their successes.
BTTA vice-president Abdulali Al Madah is also attending the tournament.
