The exclusive distributor of Komatsu heavy machinery in Bahrain Y K Almoayyed & Sons (YKA) recently welcomed Komatsu Middle East managing director Tomomitsu Hoga to YKA headquarters in Manama.
YKA executive director Abdulaziz Jassim, YKA chief executive Alok Gupta, YKA Heavy Equipment Sales general manager Madhu Nair and Komatsu Middle East equipment marketing assistant manager Samiul Rahaman were also present.
The visit underscored the longstanding partnership of more than five decades between YKA and Komatsu, built on a foundation of ‘trust, reliability and shared commitment to delivering world-class products and services’.
During the meeting, officials from Komatsu Middle East engaged with YKA Heavy Equipment Division senior management to review the current market landscape and explore potential opportunities to further strengthen Komatsu’s presence in Bahrain.

Discussions also focused on enhancing collaboration to support Bahrain’s growing infrastructure, construction and industrial sectors.
“The collaboration between Y K Almoayyed & Sons and Komatsu continues to play a vital role in supplying Bahrain’s industries with state-of-the-art equipment and dependable solutions, contributing to the kingdom’s development and progress,” said a joint spokesperson.
Komatsu’s roots stretch back more than 100 years ago to Japan and it has evolved into a global company. Today, it explores and aims to help advance the boundaries of technology, developing smart construction equipment and autonomous mining trucks, creating underwater electric bulldozers and even conceptualising an excavator capable of operating on the moon. Its products and solutions directly support industries ‘essential to the ongoing development of modern societies and everyday life’, Komatsu added.
