A Kuwaiti man in his thirties allegedly murdered his mother by slitting her throat with a knife inside their home in Saad Al Abdullah.
The victim's daughter rushed her injured mother to the hospital immediately after the attack. She was treated by medical personnel, but the woman had already succumbed to her injuries, according to the Arab Times Kuwait.
The attacker was later apprehended by authorities and was found to be in possession of a blood-stained knife at the time of his arrest.
The suspect was taken to the local police station for questioning, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the motive behind the crime, which has shocked the local community.
