The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority removed the iconic “Al-Murta’isha” artwork from the entrance of the Bab Al Bahrain. The artwork, which consisted of over 20,000 gold-painted metal chains resembling coins and hung nearly seven metres high, had been a constant presence at the main entrance of the Manama Suq since 2017 .
