Bahrain have won their first medal in the third Asian Youth Games, currently being hosted by the kingdom.
Qassim Abdulla bagged a silver medal in the traditional combat sport of pencak silat.
Competing in the boys’ 51kg-55kg weight class, Abdulla lost to Furgon Habbil Winata from Indonesia 10-81 in their division’s final, held this afternoon at Exhibition World Bahrain.
Joining them on the podium was Daniel Phouk from Cambodia, who claimed the bronze medal.
