Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gifted an electric car to Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said during a state dinner on Wednesday.
The Turkish President and his spouse, Emine Erdogan, arrived on a two-day state visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Oman’s Sultan hosted an official dinner at Al Alam Palace in honour of the President, where the two leaders exchanged gifts in a gesture underscoring the growing ties between the nations.
The Turkish President presented the Sultan with a Turkish-made Togg electric vehicle, Türkiye’s first domestically produced electric car.
The gift to Sultan Haitham reflects Ankara’s intent to deepen cooperation with Muscat while showcasing Türkiye’s emerging role in electric vehicle innovation.
