Omani authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of marijuana into the South Al Batinah Governorate.
Two Arab nationals were arrested on a beach in Wilayat Barka while allegedly receiving the smuggled drugs.
At the same time, Coast Guard police pursued the smugglers by boat and apprehended two Asian nationals on board.
Legal procedures against the suspects are currently underway.
